Phwoars vs 4s

Another great weekend of hockey for Leeds Adel this Saturday with both our first teams taking convincing wins against their opponents, followed by the Ladies 5s and then Mighty phwoars rounding off the day with a 16:30 pushback against Halifax 4s. The reverse of this fixture was played on remembrance Sunday and was a very tense affair that saw us go 0-1 down, then 3-1 up, then 3-4 down, but snatched the 3 points 5-4 Read more

Vital wins across the club….

Not sure which team’s victory (or even victories in some cases) are worthy of the lead paragraph after this weekend with the ladies 1s vital win at home giving them some hope of rising away from the relegation zone, the ladies 2s treble over 5 days securing the league title, the mens 1s maintaining their 100% record scoring 14 goals in the process or the mens 2s dramatic late win away at title rivals Hallam 4s.  Oh, Read more

Buller Can’t Stop Scoring!

6th place Airedale were the unlucky folk to face table toppers Adel Men’s 2s on Saturday 17th February. Free scoring, tight at the back – the 2s went into the game with an exceptionally healthy (I should know I’ll be a doctor in 15 months) 27-0 February record. With Messrs Crocker and soon-to-be-Crocker away at a wedding (not sure if it was theirs) the team were missing there so-solid defender Ed, and that chap that Read more

It’s down to the wire

This weekend saw the Mens 4s make the long awaited trip to Worksop who have been chasing us at the top of the table all season. With the 4s 3 points ahead of Worksop but with an identical goal difference, this shows just how close this season will be for us. A win would take us 6 point clear the top of the table whereas a loss would see Worksop draw level with only goal Read more
