Whether you’re looking to play high-level regional hockey, stay active with weekly competitive league matches, or pick up a stick again after a break, Adel offers a welcoming home for players of all standards.
We field 6 men’s teams and 6 women’s teams competing in the Yorkshire & North East leagues, alongside vibrant mixed, indoor, and masters squads. Based at our own home pitch at the Adel War Memorial Association, life at the club extends well beyond weekend fixtures with an active social calendar and vibrant clubhouse atmosphere 365 days a year.

Senior Teams
From our 1st XI squads competing at top regional levels to our lower XI sides providing competitive league match play and development – explore our 6 men’s and 6 women’s team structures, captains, and league divisions.
Senior Training Times & Schedule
All senior training takes place at our home pitch on Church Lane in Adel. We offer structured midweek coaching for all squads – including twice weekly training opportunities, specific goalkeeper coaching, and our Saturday morning ‘Hockey Saturdays’ for beginners, returning players, or those that can’t commit to a full Saturday league schedule.
Mixed & Indoor Hockey
Keep playing year-round with our fast-paced winter indoor training and competitive leagues, complemented by regular mixed fixtures and Thursday evening social mixed hockey – combining great hockey on the pitch with a strong social scene off it.
Masters Hockey
Dedicated competitive opportunities for veteran players across Men’s (O35, O45, O55) and Women’s (O35 ‘Adel Cougars’) teams, competing in England Hockey Masters Cups and YNE regional leagues. Guest players from other clubs are also welcome where eligible.

We’re always keen to welcome new players – whether you’ve recently moved to Leeds, are studying at university, stepping up from juniors, or getting back into hockey after a break.
Because squad capacity fills quickly each season, we carefully manage our new senior intake. Priority consideration is given to high-level players looking to strengthen our top regional squads, as well as those able to support the club through coaching, umpiring, or leadership roles.
