Not sure which team’s victory (or even victories in some cases) are worthy of the lead paragraph after this weekend with the ladies 1s vital win at home giving them some hope of rising away from the relegation zone, the ladies 2s treble over 5 days securing the league title, the mens 1s maintaining their 100% record scoring 14 goals in the process or the mens 2s dramatic late win away at title rivals Hallam 4s.  Oh, the mens 4s also stay in the hunt for their division as well after a couple of recent blips.

Its probably best to leave everyone to read each teams individual write ups on the website or facebook and decide for yourselves but in a week where we won 9 out of 11 league games with only 1 defeat, we wrapped up one league title with 3 games to spare, we have 1 of only 2 teams in the county with a 100% record and our mens 2s position at the top of Div 2 was considerably strengthened, its certainly one of the best weekends for the club in a long time (and that takes some saying after the last few weeks too).

Congratulations to all involved on and off the pitch – lets keep going til the end of the season (which may be April if the threatened Beast from the East actually arrives) and fingers crossed that our first league winners to bring home the silverware are joined by some other teams to make the end of season dinner the best we have had in terms of celebrating success.
