If you’re new to the area, looking for a fresh start, or searching for a great social scene to go with your hockey, Adel HC is the place for you. As the biggest club in the city of Leeds and one of the largest in the region, we offer high-quality hockey across all levels – striking the perfect balance between competitive ambition and a genuine community atmosphere.
Based at the Adel War Memorial grounds in North Leeds (with additional pitch facilities at nearby Leeds Grammar School), we offer quality floodlit pitches and our own active on-site clubhouse. Both on and off the pitch, we guarantee you a warm welcome.
We offer year-round playing opportunities across multiple formats:

Men’s & Women’s Sections: 12 Saturday league teams (6 Men’s, 6 Women’s) ranging from premier regional squads to competitive social sides.

Masters Hockey: Regular fixtures and national cup competitions for veteran players.

Indoor Hockey: Winter indoor training and competitive league matches.

Mixed Hockey: Social and competitive mixed fixtures and training throughout the year.

Summer League: Our premier 14-week regional competition running through the off-season.
Membership Availability & Application Process
Adel HC is a sought-after community club with exceptionally high player retention. Because squad capacity fills quickly each season, we carefully manage new senior intakes.
To maintain our competitive standards and sustain our volunteer-led infrastructure, priority consideration is given to applicants who bring:

High-Level Playing Experience: Players capable of strengthening our top regional league squads.

Coaching & Umpiring: Qualified (or willing) umpires and coaches to support match days.

Club Leadership: Individuals enthusiastic about committee roles, captaincy, or event support.
