Sad News

Sadly one of our former players, Elly Sheard passed away yesterday after a brave battle with cancer.  I know a number of current and former players will have fond memories of playing hockey with Elly at Adel and our thought and sympathies have been passed on to her family via Jen Jones who knew her better than most. Men’s 2s turn up after a day off

After a disappointing result on Saturday Fozzy called in reinforcements, Jim Cockburn and Sam Ransley to strengthen the defence alongside Ruairi and Fozzy for the Sunday fixture against Leeds University. Ladies 2’s bounce back.

Leeds Adel Ladies’ 1st XI hit the road this week in search of victory to maintain their 100% start to the league season. Leeds Adel HC 1st XI 10:0 Lindum 3rd XI Saturday saw a number of high scoring games for teams within the club, and this was no different. Both teams started brightly and early exchanges were competitive in the midfield, however Adel’s forwards really set the two sides apart.
