On a weekend when some teams had a slip week to coincide with the half term break, several Adel sides were playing catch up with the ladies in particular having a busy weekend. Ladies’ 4s Pick Up Their Game In Pickering

This weekend, Adel ladies 4s embarked on a journey with the locals back to the 1940s for War Memorial weekend in Pickering. Mens 1st XI v Sheffield Uni Bankers 4th XI

As previewed last week here, the match against Sheffield Uni Bankers was nicely set up with both sides unbeaten in the league heading into the fixture. The Leeds side arrived in the Steel City without Walker but the players had been prepped in the days leading up to the game. After the double header weekend of Saturday 10th Oct which saw a 5-0 victory over Heckmondwike, and a demolition job win of 10-0 against Uni of Leeds on the Sunday – Ladies 3s were made to forget about that and their top league position, and treat mid table Doncaster with caution.
