The mens 1s were back to winning ways this week with an 11-1 thrashing of Sheffield Bankers 4s after a disappointing 3-1 loss to Rotherham the previous week. A sunny Huddersfield Sunday greeted the Adel team for this rearranged fixture. After negotiating the peat bog that is Huddersfield’s car park, the action got underway in the picturesque surroundings of Lockwood park. For once, the weather gods did not conspire against us as a busy weekend of fixtures for all Adel teams went ahead with a mixture of handsome victories, narrow defeats and plenty of goals.
