Adel 2’s welcomed newly promoted Acomb in their bright orange kit causing an early morning search for bibs. Acomb, after 2 seasons of successive promotion, nearly caught the Adel defence napping in the first few seconds as the colour clashes seemed to encourage the Adel defence to pass directly to the Acomb centre forwards. Last week the 4s suffered a frustrating 2-0 loss against Bradford despite having most of the possession and the majority of play being in the oppositions half. Adel’s first home league game of the season had double significance, if the team could win it would mark their 22nd home league victory in a row and more importantly this winning span would eclipse the two year mark.
