Mens 3s vs Ben Rhydding by Rob Higgins

The mens 3rd team arrived for an evening push back at Ben Rhydding with a squad of 14, that’s right 14 to play away! Fresh from spanking other local rivals Boston Spa 5-2 at the fortress last week we were confident of getting a result against what almost looked like a lads and dads team, but like last week things started out not according to plan despite the skippers wipe board instruction extravaganza , adel Read more…

Leeds Adel 2’s V Acomb 1’s

Adel 2’s welcomed newly promoted Acomb in their bright orange kit causing an early morning search for bibs. Acomb, after 2 seasons of successive promotion, nearly caught the Adel defence napping in the first few seconds as the colour clashes seemed to encourage the Adel defence to pass directly to the Acomb centre forwards. Men’s 1s v Halifax 1s – By James Mayhew

Adel ascended on the rolling valley of Halifax, West Yorkshire (where everybody seems to know everybody) for a crucial away fixture with one of the league’s best. Their keeper and defence were too strong for us on this occasion, saving numerous shots on goal despite best efforts to hit Read more…

Ladies’ 3s Contribute to Fortress Adel Weekend

With the last season promotion from Division 3 a distant memory, as well as the close 2-1 loss against Acomb away for the season opener – Adel needed to step it up a gear for the first home fixture of the 2016/17 campaign against Thirsk. Thirsk also were promoted last year, and have always been a stubborn team to beat over the years, but with Coach Katy Blyth stepping up to give constant guidance, Read more…

Adel Reach Winning Milestone With Derby Victory

Adel’s first home league game of the season had double significance, if the team could win it would mark their 22nd home league victory in a row and more importantly this winning span would eclipse the two year mark. Secondly, the visit of EH Trophy finalists Harrogate added a local feel to the fixture. Adel quickly asserted themselves, retaining possession early on and slowly but surely moved further up the field. Debutant Gannon with the first Read more…
