A busy weekend of fixtures with the Adel fortress holding strong once again as all 5 home teams undefeated and only one team defeated on their travels (the long journey down the road for the Mens 2s to play Leeds University).   A call of ‘Britannia!’ won Adel the coin toss and first push back. Following on from last week’s success the 4s were raring to go and didn’t hang around with a quick goal by Sarina with an assist from Becky. Men’s 1s v Hallam – By Will Purdy

The Mens 1st team hosted Sheffield Hallam at The Fortress as we looked to continue our 100% winning start to the season.  A lengthy but inspiring team talk by coach Hendley ensured we got off to a flying start with quick pressing and plenty of chances created. Adel Remain Unbeaten on the Road

For the second and not the last time of the season, Adel travelled west over The Pennines for a late PB in Cheshire. before the game commenced Adel were treated, with an appearance from Sam Quek, GB hockey gold medalist. On the pitch beforehand, a quite remarkable game saw Bowdon snatch not just a equaliser, but also a winner with a kicking back in place against a devastated Olton & West Warwicks. 5-4 winners. Leeds University 1’s V Leeds Adel 2’s by Rich Partner

With more orange men that a typical Belfast march, Adel lined up in force against the Leeds university students evicted from their own university home pitch. Becketts Park the venue familiar to Adel, except a few late comers and an umpire equally confused by the venue choice.
