Adel 2s avoid potential Bananna skin

As I drove down the sunny M1 on a Saturday afternoon munching away on my Coronation chicken sandwich I kept asking myself what this mysterious Wakefield team had to offer. The team we resoundingly thumped 7-0 in the home leg of the fixture yet had beaten one of our title rivals and drawn with another in the past two weeks. The secrets were soon to be unearthed. Turns out I took too much time wondering Read more…

Saturday night, Sunday morning

The Men’s 5s had two games over the weekend: nothing as dramatic as the 1st team clash of the titans, but a chance to consolidate on a few good results and maybe even help our 4th team in their battle for the league title. After an inspirational team talk (“we could win this one, or we could lose it”) the team flew out of the Read more…

Where do I begin…

Most of the previous weekly round up blogs have tended to begin with a win for another of our sides who are topping their league or a side who have banged in a hatful of goals.  Last weekend saw 4 of our teams on top of their tables on Sunday evening, we had 4 players score 5 goals apiece in their match, another 2 or 3 bagged hat tricks and we even saw “hell freeze Read more…

It was worth the wait…

Adel 3s travelled to Huntingdon eager to make amends for last weeks loss. Due to the skippers tardiness, Fozzy and Greg came up with a cunning formation which seemed to work well from the off with Beale scoring early on, closely followed by 2 more from Will Powley. There was some great passing and moving from the whole team, with space being found all over the pitch. Sadly a hospital pass to Kieran with the Read more…
