What an amazing start to the league season and also the new pitch and Fortress Adel. Ladies 4s had a promising yet interesting start to their new season in a new league with a 3-2 win over Huddersfield Dragons 3s. With no goal keeper and no subs, a smart decision was made to play 15 minute quarters in a 7-a-side match. This allowed us to catch our breaths more often than not. Having been pipped to play the opening game on the new pitch by the Ladies 3s, the Ladies 2s maintained their winning start to the season with a hard fought win over a strong Hull team, once the opposition had eventually navigated traffic problems on the M62 resulting in the game starting half an hour later than scheduled.  This suited some Adel players who were sporting hangovers.  Hull’s request to play four quarters was agreed Read more…
