Adel 2’s welcomed newly promoted Acomb in their bright orange kit causing an early morning search for bibs. Acomb, after 2 seasons of successive promotion, nearly caught the Adel defence napping in the first few seconds as the colour clashes seemed to encourage the Adel defence to pass directly to the Acomb centre forwards. Adel ascended on the rolling valley of Halifax, West Yorkshire (where everybody seems to know everybody) for a crucial away fixture with one of the league’s best. Last week the 4s suffered a frustrating 2-0 loss against Bradford despite having most of the possession and the majority of play being in the oppositions half.
