Goals, cards, and successful passes

Another busy weekend of hockey for Adel, although with 2 teams unable to fulfil their fixtures, the ladies 3s and mens 5s were left twiddling their thumbs for the weekend.  The ladies 5s got the ball rolling, mainly into the opposition goal with a resounding 7-0 win v Chapeltown in the first fixture of the day and there was some silky hockey on display under the watchful eye of coach Jackson.  The result leaves the Read more…

Men’s 2s v Leeds Uni 1s

This week the boozy 2s took on another local league rival in the form of Leeds uni 1s. None more so that Jimmy Mayhew who was playing against his home club and was delighted to show his current teammates that he had other ‘Hockey Friends’. Adel welcomed the return of Read more…

Plenty of legs XI

For the first time in many years, Adel turned out 11 senior sides on the same day with the newly formed mens 6th team making their league debuts in Division 5 South West (in effect taking over a vacant place created by Leeds Adel 5s who moved to Div 5 North last summer to reduce travelling!).  As the new boys to the division, you don’t expect any favours and the early 10.30 start away at Read more…
