Results round up from 18th/19th Jan 2020

With the Ladies teams having games postponed due to frosted pitches or a slip week with no game to play, there was limited hockey on show at the War Memorial last weekend, with only the first team managing to get any pitch time. Stroomer gets the Ball rolling as Adel start well

Leeds Adel Men’s First XI took to the field in their season opener against Morpeth at Adel War Memorial on Saturday. With a new head coach in Simon Ball, they were brimming with confidence after last year’s campaign, and this showed from the first whistle as Adel immediately drove forward to put the visiting team under pressure. Mens 3s vs Wakefield

After 2 consecutive promotions the Mens 3s are now playing Yorkshire Div 1 and looking forward to the challenge. 1st Half Adel started off well, asserting early pressure on Wakefield. Whenever possession was conceded, Adel moved quickly into the 3/4 press and forced Wakefield to the wings, as they had nothing up through the middle. Peter Craven

We have recently learned the sad news of the passing of former club President, Peter Craven, following a period of illness. Peter was an Adel member through and through over many years contributing greatly to the club on and off the pitch in the days of green and gold and matches being played on grass.
