Our annual awards are usually presented at the End of Season Dinner in May each year, where we celebrate success and award winners then wake up the next day and discover they have lost their deserved trophy. Following the latest Government lockdown the pitch and facilities are now shut, and are not available for any type of hockey or fitness related activities until after December 2nd. The disappointing but not unsurprising news regarding hockey activity being suspended throughout November was confirmed by England Hockey last night. Based on the announcement on Saturday we will continue to train on Tuesday and Wednesday. As long as we continue to comply with tier 2 guidance then we are ok to train but individuals can make their own minds up if they wish to attend or not. After Wednesday the pitch will be as per first lockdown with no access permitted by anyone until further notice. The England hockey announcement is here
To share around the burden and allow us to continue to play hockey in the new era with lockdown restrictions, we continue to strongly advise people not to go up to the pitch and not to spectate at home matches.
