Adel 3s travelled to Huntingdon eager to make amends for last weeks loss.
Due to the skippers tardiness, Fozzy and Greg came up with a cunning formation which seemed to work well from the off with Beale scoring early on, closely followed by 2 more from Will Powley.
There was some great passing and moving from the whole team, with space being found all over the pitch. Sadly a hospital pass to Kieran with the CF breathing down his neck resulted in York pulling one back.
Joe Greer was unlucky not to score with an amazing first time reverse strike following a lovely ball around the back from Matt Lilley. Tom increased the gap with his second, picking the corner from a SC.
Powley was determined to get his hat trick and somehow managed to score a tap in from a SC despite loosing control of the ball a few times, but still ending up inches from the goal and was able to slide it across the line.
York got another, then the moment of the match as Hilton drifted towards the D, carefully allowing the ball to roll over the line before unleashing a powerful strike that deflected off a York foot into the net. His first league goal in many, many years!
Clearly wanting to save money on the night out by not scoring a hat trick Beale missed a glorious far post tap in to round out the day.
Massive thanks to Sammy for coaching and managing, big game next week against Wakefield to look forward to.
