After a narrow defeat (well by three goals and we did draw the second half) against City of York in the first round of the EH Masters Trophy, the veterans of Leeds Adel HC fell into the Shield (a glamorous title for those first round losers in the Trophy tournament). Ladies 3s had been gearing up to play Barnsley away since the 3-1 defeat they’d suffered at home at the start of the season. This festive elephant happy with another clean sheet Following two disappointing weekends of cancelled fixtures due to inclement weather, Leeds Adel Ladies 1st XI drove to the far end of the M62 for a game against Hull. On a day which saw horrendous weather conditions for players, umpires, spectators it seemed wholly appropriate that we went into battle against teams from Brrrridlington and Brrrrrigg. The top 3 ladies teams all came away victorious, scoring an impressive 16 goals between them. The surprise perhaps was that only 1 was scored by the ladies 1s but it was enough to return from Hull with 3 points and maintain the 100% record for the season. Read more…
A clean sweep for the ladies with all four teams victorious. We have come to expect this from the ladies 1s who have a 100% record across all competitions this season and are strong candidates for promotion.
