It is not surprising that a full squad of 15 were available for the last home league game of the season. The mens 1s kept their promotion hopes alive with an emphatic 9-2 win over Airedale on Sunday. After a tight first half, which ended 2-1, Adel dominated in the second and made the pressure count with a series of well worked team goals. The journey to Saturday had been a long one for the ladies’ 1st XI. Following two successive years of finishing 2nd in North Div 2, last year’s finish particular painful after running Ben Rhydding so close, the team finally had the chance to secure the championship and route to playoffs 2016.
