Game, set and match….

After the excitement and thrills from the 9 home games at Adel last weekend, this weekend was always going to be mundane in comparison with only 4 home games to please the Adel faithful and most of the excitement and nail biting games taking place around the county (or country in some cases with a few teams not quite being within the Yorkshire borders).   Its also getting to the stage of the season where we Read more…

Bens Bus keeps rolling

It was going to be difficult for the mens first team following the highs of last weekend. After beating Bradford 2-1 in front of a packed crowd at the Church Lane cauldron Bens boys had to pick themselves up to continue the push for promotion and 100% record against a Huddersfield team who had pushed them all the way in the first game of the season and only 2 very late goals ensuing a 4-3 Read more…

The Four Tops….

The club sent out 14 senior teams into battle this weekend, over the course of 2 days.  9 home games gave the Adel faithful plenty to support, cheer and with over 50 goals (plus one mysteriously chalked off in controversial circumstances in the big game of Sunday) the orange goals of the Adel astro were given a serious test. So where do you begin when Saturday saw not one Adel team lose a game, we Read more…

Adel Men’s 1’s had two games over the weekend with Sheffield Hallam 3’s first up on the Saturday and a highly awaited clash with Bradford HC the only other unbeaten side in the league on the Sunday. Saturday saw the arrival of a strong Hallam team with Adel giving a very warm welcome to their new goal keeper Matt Cooper by sending him into the Hallam dressing room after Jimmy assumed he was part of Read more…
