Absentee captain Edd Holfold deigned to grace the Mens 2s with his presence this week, after a scrappy but functional 1-0 win the week before. The new season began in earnest at the weekend with a full complement of games for our 10 senior sides. Following last years perfect season the Mens 1st team returned to the North hockey leagues after a 5 season hiatus and had been handed a tough opening fixture against Sheffield Hallam 2nd team who finished second last season.
