In our eyes the sixth team is the most important team in the club;it provides a flow of players to higher level teams. Many of these teams now feature players, who started playing in the sixth team. Our squad of 25 has players of all ages from 14 to 77 with all levels of ability. Many of our senior players have played at a high level and are now happy still to be playing and using their experience to encourage the younger players to play and enjoy the game. We frequently field current internationals (Wales and Scotland Masters) and we also have players, who have just started playing. For us winning isn’t everything, but it still feels good when we do. This season we sit 6th in our league. After the games we like to have a drink in the clubhouse and have our own special man of the match and donkey of the day awards.
