The 3s have bumbled around the lower levels of Yorkshire hockey with limited success for several seasons and sometimes feel as they are caught between a rock and a hard place with the 1s and 2s striving hard for promotion and the 4s and 5s bringing through the pipeline of junior talent for development and progression.  New skipper Tom Beale has started to gel together a mix of experience with the likes of Horsey and Hilton, the exuberance and enthusiasm of Jackson and the cream of the under 16s who are looking to push on to higher levels.  With the talent available to the skipper, the 3s should really be punching much higher and a strong second half to the season will be needed if promotion is to be achieved.  Don’t put it past them to deliver.
