From 14th November;

Analysts around the country would compare the Leeds Adel Mens 1s game at Airedale to a cold Tuesday night at Stoke as the home side played the conditions well to earn a point against the League leaders.

The away side started brightly, but struggled to break down the Airedale back line and their GK who put in a solid performance and duly named MotM by the home side.

Adel’s only goal came in the first half following a penetrating ball from Hemming and Purdy needed two attempts to put it beyond the Airedale GK.

Airedale rarely ventured into the Adel half, however countered in numbers and at pace but the resilient Hill, Lewis and Taylor kept the clean sheet in tact until the break.

Into the second half and Airedale who were buoyed by the home support grew in momentum. Ill discipline and wasted chances by Adel allowed the home side to build the pressure against the reduced Adel numbers.

The equaliser came with moments to spare in the game as Airedale forced home a PC at the third attempt. Adel were deflated as they failed to win for only the second time this season.
