I am delighted to be able to share some more good news with everyone, more details of which are included in the link above.

Following their successful 2015-16 season, the Committee submitted an application to EH for the ladies 1s in the ladies team of the year category and over the weekend we were advised that we have been shortlisted in this category.  Whilst not quite as prestigious as the much coveted (and keenly contested) Leeds Adel HC team of the year award that the ladies 1s won on Saturday evening, this is the first time that we have been nominated in any of the categories over the previous years.

The awards ceremony is in Reading on the evening of Saturday 21st May when we hope to fill a table for those wanting to attend.

A huge thank you to Sam Ransley who pulled together the novel and excellent submission which I hope he is now able to post and share more widely with everyone so you can understand why the nomination was submitted and just why we believe we had a strong case to put forward.

There is some stiff competition from Leyland & Chorley, Timperley and Wapping to overcome in this category and I am sure they have all had equally strong seasons on and off the pitch so we look forward to meeting our fellow shortlisted teams on 21st May and sharing our experiences of the season along with all the other teams and individuals nominated.
