We are very lucky to have a complete and large committee of volunteers supporting the running of the club, but are always open to new people getting involved and becoming a bigger part of our community.

Adel, we need you!

Want to learn new skills or use existing ones to help the club? We are looking to support anyone through gaining qualifications and confidence in coaching or umpiring. Please read the below summaries and get in touch with the relevant people to get started!

Umpiring

Are you a stickler for the rules? Enjoy blowing a loud whistle? Or maybe you’ve thought you can do a better job than the umpire you had the other week (at an away match obviously)!
We are looking to train up new umpires and now is a great time to get involved with more casual summer league matches being a perfect introduction to overseeing our wonderful sport being played. Adel are committed to supporting new umpires through their qualifications and offer to fund your England hockey course if you go on to become a regular umpire for us (on top of the £15 per match payment!). More information about the England Hockey courses can be found here, https://www.englandhockey.co.uk/deliver/officiate/umpire/umpiring-courses.
To learn more and start your officiating career, please contact our Umpire Coordinator, Charlotte Winn – umpires@leedsadelhc.co.uk.

Coaching

From the 1st XIs to the under-8s, all Adel players benefit from quality coaching to help them become the best they can be and have fun while doing so! We are always looking to add to our pool of coaches with opportunities across the club to learn while assisting experienced coaches and progress to leading sessions yourself, alongside gaining England Hockey qualifications (that don’t look too bad on a CV or personal statement). If this is of interest to you or you want to learn more, please get in touch with our coaching coordinator Alex Percival.

Committee Positions

Currently, all of the committee positions are filled. If you’d like though to help out more at the club – do get in touch!
