We have received some clarity from England Hockey, summed up as follows, and the graphic above available as a PDF here.

  1. Leeds Adel HC is firmly in tier 3 so we cannot travel outside of our tier 3 region (West Yorkshire) to train or play.
  2. We can play against other clubs who are in our same tier 3 region. Leeds, Bradford, Ben Rhydding, Slaz, Wakey, Halifax, Huddersfield etc so plenty of options
  3. If we travel to away games then players must travel separately, or from their household bubble (this is no longer optional or guidance). But cars are “indoors”
  4. Limit contact in training sessions, with the same guidance as pre-lockdown.  Only in a “live” game situation should you be within 2m of another player, so walking to the pitch, meeting in car park, pre match team talks, huddles for penalty corners, half time chats, game stopped for injury etc mean the 2m rule applies and max of 6.
  5. Toilets at Adel will only be available in Leodis block.  Please ensure outside door closed at all times
  6. Bar will not be open sadly whilst we remain in Tier 3 so no access to bar toilets.
  7. Please ensure you have still completed EH Participation Agreement and please register attendance at sessions for training and matches
  8. There are exceptions to travel restrictions for junior and disabled hockey
  9. Follow the same one way system going to and from the pitch
  10. And finally on the 12th bullet of Christmas, it looks like Santa’s gift is to permit spectators to watch hockey as long as it is within tier 3 guidelines! So max of 6 can meet up as we are outdoors and not a private garden but people should follow one way system, observe the social distancing guidelines and use the yellow spray paint markings as a guide.
