After many weeks of tense battles, last night saw the top four teams contest the mixed summer league semi finals at Adel. Adel had managed to get two teams to the semis (largely by virtue of entering 4 different teams at the outset) and both Harrogate and Ben Rhydding would offer strong opposition based on the previous games against the various Adel teams. Another Thursday double-header (or so we thought) with first up the Adel Mens Oranges game at home against Leeds. An interesting start to the evening with 5 teams present and all of them adamant they were due to play at 7. In the end it turned out that Harrogate had arrived early, perhaps to avoid the congestion and traffic disruptions caused by the Tour de France.
